ACTIVITIES

 

Monthly Luncheons - held on the second Wednesday of the months during the season, November
 through April. These events, which require prior registration and payment, include social time, important Club announcements; and a program, often speaker of interest.

 

Summer Luncheons – continuing the monthly luncheon tradition that we enjoy during the season we opt for gathering in popular Naples’ restaurants for casual conversation during the summer.

 

 

 

Meet November through April. Some groups meet in Summer as well.

 

Afternoon at the Movies – This group watches interesting and popular movies showing at the local movie theaters. After               the movie, we will be going to a nearby restaurant where we can discuss the film and get to know each other.

 

New! Barefoot Contessas - Let your inner Ina Garten shine while preparing her recipes and enjoying conversation and good food in a monthly luncheon per season.

 

New! Beyond Us - Strictly voluntary monthly group outings to assist deserving community organizations that need our help - beach/park cleanups, soup kitchens, food banks, etc.  Join us in fun projects, make new friends and memories - all in service to others; venues and dates TBD each month.

 

Coffee and Conversation – A small group meets in a member’s home. This is a great way to meet Club members in a more personal setting.

 

Countries, Customs, and Cultures – Members enjoy a presentation about and/or discussion of a different country during each gathering.  There are 2 groups!

 

Conversations in Italian – Friendly get-togethers for anyone who admires Italian Culture and wants to enhance their Italian language skills.

 

Early International Dining – This group meets at various venues throughout the year for an early dinner at different nationality restaurants.

 

New! Evening with Friends - Join this new social event in the form of potluck where everyone brings an appetizer and a drink.  Significant others and guests are welcome.  

 

Exploring Fashion & Beauty in Naples – This group enjoys exploring fashion and jewelry in Naples’ finest stores.

 

French Atelier Conversation – This group enjoys various needle and thread activities, including knitting, sewing, and crocheting, all while speaking French. Participants bring their own craft, and must have necessary crafting and language skills (this is not a class).

 

German Kaffeeklatsch Conversation – Social get-together for German speakers, along with coffee and pastries.

 

Ikebana – The ancient art of Japanese flower arranging, open to beginners and advanced participants.

 

Knit & Stitch – Where magic happens one stitch at a time.

 

Ladies Night Out – Enjoy delicious dinners with friends at a variety of Naples’ fine restaurants.

 

Les Gourmets – Gather with friends who are interested in demonstrating the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals. Each attendee offers to host and share international recipes once during the season.

 

Mah-jongg – Enjoy friendly competition playing this popular Chinese board game. 

 

Phyl@The Baker and Art Appreciation – Phyllis Liebman is a terrific docent at The Baker Art Museum and a member of our Club. Private tours of all the fascinating exhibits that come to the Baker during the year.

 

Spanish Tertulia Conversation – Spanish-speaking members socialize and discuss various topics.

 

Theatre Group - Enjoy a play with WFLIC members in our new Gulfshore Playhouse and newly renovated home of the Naples Players.
